Namen is een stad in België, gelegen waar de rivier de Samber in de Maas vloeit. Het is de hoofdstad van het Waals Gewest en de hoofdstad van de provincie Namen.
De stad ligt ongeveer 65 km ten zuiden van Brussel, aan de samenvloeiing van Samber en Maas en aan de grenzen van Haspengouw, de Condroz en de streek tussen Samber en Maas. Het huidige stadscentrum bevindt zich op de linkeroever van de Samber. De stad telt ruim 110.000 inwoners wat ongeveer een kwart van alle inwoners van de provincie vertegenwoordigt.
