Van heinde en verre komen pelgrims naar Halle om er de Zwarte Madonna in de Sint-Martinusbasiliek te vereren. Dat merkwaardige beeld zou in 1267 aan de kerk geschonken zijn. In de vijfde reeks van Witse werd er op een undercover inval in de basiliek gefilmd.
