Moerbeke is een gemeente in de Belgische provincie Oost-Vlaanderen, en ligt in het Waasland. De gemeente telt ruim 6.500 inwoners, waarvan 131 inwoners met de Nederlandse nationaliteit. De inwoners worden Moerbekenaars genoemd.Moerbeke was in de omstreken vooral bekend om zijn suikerfabriek, die deel uitmaakte van de groep Iscal Sugar. Op tweede kerstdag 2007 kondigde het bedrijf echter aan dat het de vestiging in Moerbeke sloot.
