Meldert is gelegen ten zuidwesten van Tienen. Het is een landelijk dorp in de vallei van de Molenbeek, gesitueerd tussen de grote kouters. De gebouwen van het voormalige molencomplex op deze Molenbeek werden sterk gerenoveerd. In de drassige vallei komen talrijke boomgroepjes voor, op de flanken vinden we taluds.
