Brasserie de Vlegel is een gevestigde waarde in Mortsel. In juni 2018 gaf voormalig uitbater Patrick Ghys de fakkel door aan de nieuwe chinese eigenaar Yang Hu.
Het beproefde concept blijft behouden: de zaak is zeven dagen op zeven geopend en en ook het ontbijt aan één euro blijft op de kaart staan. De Vlegel wil een ontmoetingsplaats zijn voor alle leeftijden die in de zaak mét prachtige tuin terecht kunnen voor een democratisch hapje en drankje.
