stop 2: Zogenaamd "Kasteel Grenier". Ver achterin gelegen kasteel ingeplant aan de rand van de Hofkouter en de oosthelling van de Schelde, in de zogenaamde Warande van de heren van Gavere. Enorm omringend park afdalend naar de Schelde met verschillende visvijvers, voormalige stallingen, neerhof en hovenierswoning. Huidige ingang met lange rechtlijnige dubbele beukendreef vanaf de Molenstraat, aangelegd in 1907 onder leiding van tuinarchitect Gallopain en waarbij ook het oorspronkelijk toegangshek verplaatst werd van de hovenierswoning naar de straat. Sinds 1952 militair domein.
