Station Gent-Sint-Pieters is het belangrijkste spoorwegstation van de stad Gent en het op drie na drukste station van België, na de Brusselse stations Zuid, Centraal en Noord . Het werd in 1912 gebouwd ten zuiden van het oude stadscentrum ter voorbereiding van de wereldtentoonstelling van 1913. Het station heeft twaalf sporen en zes perrons, die tegen ten vroegste 2025 integraal vernieuwd zullen zijn in het kader van het Project Gent-Sint-Pieters. Er zijn ook vijf tramperrons gelegen aan het station, bediend door de drie lijnen van de Gentse tram. Op werkdagen maken ongeveer 56.000 reizigers gebruik van het station.
