De nieuwe Bossenaarmolen werd in 1996 opgericht op de heuveltop van de Bossenaar. Hij staat daarmee ongeveer op dezelfde plaats als de oude, in 1939 verdwenen, Bossenaarmolen.
Deze houten windmolen bestaat uit een grote vierkanten eiken kast die rust op een zware spil of staak, waarrond de kast kan draaien. Onderaan deze standaardmolen of staakmolen werd een kleine bergplaats gebouwd zodat men spreekt van een gesloten staakmolen. De naam verwijst naar de plaatsnaam Bossenaar.
