Het kapelletje op de vestingwal is het zogenaamde Achterkapelleke. Het is gebouwd in het midden van de 19e eeuw door de zusters Benedictinessen die zich hier al in 1690 vestigden.
Al drie eeuwen lang verzorgen ze psychiatrische patiënten. Het is naar deze zusters dat de Benedictinessenstraat is genoemd.
In het Achterkapelleke staat het beeld van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van vesten.
