Rumes is een plaats en gemeente in de Belgische provincie Henegouwen. De gemeente telt ruim 5000 inwoners. Rumes ligt in het westen van de provincie, tegen de grens met Frankrijk, langs de weg van de stad Doornik naar de Franse steden Orchies en Douai.
Alle historische gegevens hebben betrekking op de huidige gemeente, inclusief deelgemeenten, zoals ontstaan na de fusie van 1 januari 1977.
