Na een steile klim kom je bij Chalet 'Boekzitting'. Boek komt van het oude woord voor beuk. Tot in de jaren zeventig stond hier een eeuwenoude beuk. Op deze plaats werd vroeger recht gesproken. Hier kregen de veroordeelde misdadigers de kans om in alle rust over hun wandaden te mediteren aan de schandpaal. Zo'n oord van rechtspraak bevond zich bij voorkeur op een kruispunt van verschillende gemeenten.
