Een begeesterde bouwheer is het minste wat je kan zeggen. Alle nutsvoorzieningen in eigen beheer kunnen houden was de opstelling. Het resultaat is een woning met zelfbedruipende energievoorzieningen waarbij zelfs het regenwater omgevormd wordt in drinkwater. De woning is aan de straatzijde heel gesloten maar de achterzijde daarentegen, is volledig beglaasd.
Om oververhitting tegen te gaan is de volledig beglaasde achtergevel voorzien van een grote horizontale luifel en overstekende terrassen. Op deze manier wordt een continu uitzicht gegarandeerd zonder dat men moet overgaan tot hinderlijke verticale zonweringen.
