De oorspronkelijke romaanse kruiskerk werd o.m. gewijzigd in de 16de eeuw en in 1794 in brand gestoken door Franse invallers. In 1908 was een hallekerk met westertoren tot stand gekomen in laat-gotische stijl. Die werd in de oorlog van 1914-18 vernield en nadien grosso modo wederopgebouwd (1922-23), in donkere baksteen met sokkel van herbruikte ijzerzandsteen. De kerk heeft een vierkante toren met zeshoekige spits. Gerestaureerd in 1973.
Bepleisterd en witgeschilderd interieur, houten spitstongewelf met trekbalken. Neogotisch meubilair. Schilderijen uit de 17de en 19dee eeuw (Moord op de drie Geestelijken; O.-L.-Vrouw met kind in bloemenkrans). In het dorp twee gedenktekens voor dezelfde drie geestelijken (vermoord in 1568).
