De Ieperboog of Ypres Salient, was tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog een belangrijke frontlinie. De Ieperboog vormde een uitstulping in het Westelijk Front en was zo een stuk Geallieerd terrein in bezet Duits gebied. Je kan het glooiende landschap van de Ypres Salient verkennen met het wandelnetwerk en/of de fietsroute Ieperboog. Onderweg herinneren talrijke monumenten en begraafplaatsen aan de bloedige slagen die in dit gebied werden uitgevochten.
