Der Ieperbogen oder Ypres Salient war während des Ersten Weltkriegs eine wichtige Frontlinie. Der Ieperbogen bildete einen Vorsprung an der Westfront und war somit ein Stück alliierten Terrains im besetzten deutschen Gebiet. Sie können die hügelige Landschaft des Ypres Salient mit dem Wanderwegenetz und/oder der Fahrradroute Ieperbogen erkunden. Auf dem Weg erinnern zahlreiche Denkmäler und Friedhöfe an die blutigen Schlachten, die in diesem Gebiet ausgetragen wurden.
