Het fietspad door het water leidt fietsers over een 212 meter lang en drie meter breed betonnen pad met water op ooghoogte aan beide zijden. Zwanen en andere watervogels drijven aan de rand en kijken nieuwsgierig naar de fietsers. Sinds de opening is de belangstelling voor dit speciale fietspad enorm. Gemiddeld verkennen 800 bezoekers per dag dit onvergetelijke deel van het Limburgse fietsknooppuntroute netwerk. Met pieken op zaterdag en zondag en maar liefst 5.000 fietsers op topdagen.
