Deze vruchtbare vlakte in het zuiden van de deelgemeente Ternat verwerft tijdens WO2 bekendheid als Duitse radarbasis ,met als codenaam "Blindschleiche"(hazelworm), waar de 27.Flugmelde-Leit Kompagnie van de IV.Abteilung van het 211 Luftnachrichen-Regiment van de Luftwaffe zich gedurende 4 jaar ingraaft en waar op dit moment alleen een rechthoekige bunker de laatste getuigenis van is.
