De eeuwenoude knotlinde (Tilia x europaea) bevindt zich ten zuidoosten van de parochiekerk Sint-Martinus op het dorpsplein van Massemen. De boom heeft een stamomtrek van 7,19 m. Sinds de heraanleg van het plein staat de boom enigszins geïsoleerd op een vluchtheuvel met wat lage begroeiing rondom. De linde vormt nog één van de beeldbepalende elementen van de oude dorpskom.
