Stationsgebouw uit begin 20ste eeuw gelegen ten zuiden van het Lodewijk Engelbertus van Arenbergplein en ten westen van de overweg aan de Naamsesteenweg. Het station ligt langs de lijn 139 Leuven-Ottignies aangelegd door de "Chemins de fer de Louvain à Charleroi" en geopend op 12 februari 1855. De drie stations op deze lijn op Vlaams grondgebied zijn nog bewaard (Heverlee, Oud-Heverlee en Sint-Joris-Weert). De Staat nam op het einde van de 19de eeuw verschillende particuliere maatschappijen over, waaronder ook de "Grand Central Belge" die instond voor de lijn Leuven-Charleroi. Na de overname door de staat werden verschillende oudere stations van deze particuliere maatschappijen vervangen waaronder ook de stations van Heverlee en Sint-Joris-Weert. Het stationsgebouw werd gebouwd volgens het type van 1895 en zou gebouwd zijn rond 1904.
