De kerk is gelegen op een helling; omringend ommuurd kerkhof. Laatgotische kruiskerk (14de - 16de eeuw) waarvan de zuidzijde in 1840 werd hersteld, de toren en voorgevel werden verbouwd in 1852, neogotisch koor en sacristie van 1858 naar ontwerp van architect Schoonejans.
