Kerk met aan koor- en zuidzijde resten van het oude kerkhof, onder meer grafsteen familie van den Branden (begin 19de eeuw), aansluitende parking; gelegen in de dorpskern op het kruispunt van de wegen naar Waarloos en Rumst. Rond de kerk lintbebouwing van 20ste-eeuwse rijhuizen met twee of drie verdiepingen en 19de- of begin 20ste-eeuwse arbeidershuisjes van één of anderhalve bouwlaag onder pannen zadeldak; bepleisterde lijstgevels met rechthoekige muuropeningen. Parochie opgericht in 1308-09, het nominatierecht behoorde toe aan de abdij van Lobbes.
