Description

Hoeve in bosrijke omgeving (Wandelpark); enige overgebleven hoeve van een dertigtal pachthoeven van de norbertijnenabdij van Tongerlo te Essen; opgericht in 1767 na bevel van Keizerin Maria-Theresia tot ontginning van braakliggende gronden. Van 1825 tot 1960 behorend tot domein Hemelrijk. Heden ingericht als restaurant en karrenmuseum (1971).
