Het Rivierenhof, net buiten het centrum van Antwerpen, is één van die zalige plaatsen waar je nog rustig kunt wandelen, cultuur beleven, ravotten of sporten in het groen.
In 1514 is er reeds sprake van een landgoed "Ter Rivieren" nabij de Grote Schijn. In de 17de en 18de eeuw was het eigendom van de Antwerpse Jezuiten. In 1773 wordt de orde opgeheven en de bankier J.B. Cogels laat het kloostergebouw ombouwen tot zomerverblijf. Het is niemand minder dan de hofarchitect van Lodewijk de XVI die het ontwerp zal maken.
Vandaag kan je rustig iets drinken op het terras.
