De herberg “Casino” bestaat reeds meer dan 100 jaar. In 1906 kocht de familie Piens een stuk bouwgrond op de hoek van de Gaversesteenweg en de Molenstraat om er een boerderij, woonhuis, winkel en estaminet op te richten. Het café kreeg de naam “Casino” en wordt nog steeds uitgebaat door dezelfde familie. De boerderij werd later een zelfbedieningszaak met ernaast een kapsalon. Ondertussen veranderde dit alles in een vergaderzaal.
