Al sinds 1902 is dit stamineetje de ontmoetingplek voor de dorpsbewoners van Everbecq, sinds de fusies Everbeek genoemd.
'Bij Marie Punter' luidde het vroeger, aangezien er een combinatie café - verfwinkel was. De schilder zorgde voor het prachtige plafond in de 'schone plek' .
Waar nu de speelkamer is, werd verf en behang verkocht.
3 generaties lang heeft men dit cafeetje authentiek gehouden en dit fameus verleden heeft de uitbater zoveel als mogelijk proberen te behouden.
Dit resulteerde in een bruin staminee dat nog steeds staat voor een gezellige babbel bij een (nu wel) fris biertje van Belgische bodem.
