De kolenhavenheuvel genaamd "Zetel 19" ligt aan de linkeroever van de Sambre, net stroomopwaarts van de stad Charleroi. Het presenteert zich momenteel als een imposante bosrijke heuvel die bijna 200 m hoog is, waarvan de zuidflank en de top nog open ruimtes vertonen. De locatie vormt een eiland van natuur in een regio die sterk wordt beïnvloed door haar industriële verleden. Het herbergt onder andere een interessante entomofauna met verschillende zeldzame soorten (rechtvleugels, lieveheersbeestjes, ...).
