De Koninginnelaan biedt een mooie staalkaart aan modernistische villa’s en appartementsgebouwen ontworpen door de lokale architecten Louis Legein en Oscar Vermeesch. In de gevels van de meeste huizen werd trouwens een steen met de naam van de architect ingemetseld. Op de duin, gelegen achter de dubbelvilla Topaze - Amethyste (nrs. 38-40) trekt de cottage Vieux Temps de aandacht. Gebouwd kort voor 1900 is het een van de oudste villa’s in dit deel van De Panne. Clos Joli (nr. 25) is een voorbeeld van een bescheiden appartementsgebouw naar de plannen van Oscar Vermeesch.
