Het Bosuilstadion is sinds jaar en dag de thuishaven van voetbalclub Antwerp FC. Ooit kwamen hier 60.000 supporters naar een wedstrijd kijken. Naast de thuismatchen van Antwerp waren dat een tijdlang ook de legendarische interlands tussen België en Nederland, het zogenaamde Derby’s der Lage Landen.
Fan of niet, in Deurne-Noord kan je niet om het stadion heen. Het bouwwerk bepaalt het uitzicht van de wijk. De jongste jaren groeit het Bosuilstadion uit tot een moderne voetbaltempel. In 2017 ging een gloednieuwe hoofdtribune open. In het najaar van 2020 is ook de nieuwe tribune 4 klaar. Ook de historische tribune 2 – die een en al old school voetbal ademt – maakt plaats voor een hypermoderne variant.
