Boekhoute is een dorp in de Belgische provincie Oost-Vlaanderen en een deelgemeente van Assenede. Boekhoute ligt nabij de grens met Nederland, in het Meetjesland. Het noordwestelijke deel van het dorp ligt in de Laurijnepolder. Het was een zelfstandige gemeente tot eind 1976. Het heeft een oppervlakte van 16,27 km² en telde op 1 april 2006 2029 inwoners.
