Dit is de 'Vallei van de drie beken'. Hier werd tussen 1900 en 1920 turf gestoken tot een diepte van ongeveer 1,5m waar men nog half vergane boomstronken aantrof. In deze laag werden blokken afgetekend, na een droogtijd werd de turf gestoken en de blokken op hun kant gezet. Deze blokken werden, wanneer ze bijna droog waren, in mijten gestapeld. Ook ijzererts werd gedolven in ’t Broek. Dit werd met wagentjes vervoerd naar 'de Zwarte Ring' of naar het station te Deurne.
