Het 'Boshuisje' of 'Boswachtershuisje' behoorde tot het domein dat het laatst in handen was van de familie Carlier. Nu is het eigendom van Natuurpunt en wordt het sporadisch gebruikt als educatief centrum. Vlakbij was de laadplaats van de turfvletten die vanuit het veengebied 'de Nol' via de 'Vaart Van De Nol Naar Roosendaal' richting Horendonk en Roosendaal werden gesleept.
