In een met eiken en struiken beplant bosje rust een hoog houten kruis op een kubusvormige voet van kalksteen.
Zoals blijkt uit de in de steen gegraveerde inscripties, werd het kruis in 1905 door meerdere pelgrims vanuit Jeruzalem meegebracht en in 1906 door de heer Halleux-Reyland op de top van deze heuvel boven Beausaint geplaatst. Sindsdien is het het onderwerp van pelgrimstochten.
Dit is niet meer het originele kruis dat het zwaar te verduren kreeg door de weersomstandigheden en in 2018 brak door de wind.
