De fontaine du perron stoep dateert uit 1674 en is een symbool van de concessies die de aartsbisschop van Keulen in 1594 aan de stad Spa verleende. In 1887 werd hij omgevormd tot een fontein, waarbij het symbool van gerechtigheid een monument van openbaar nut werd.
Een hoge, gebogen ronde basis vormt de sokkel van de fontein. Het smeedijzeren rooster omringt vier rechthoekige bassins die in een kruis zijn opgesteld. Een imposante stenen krater met vier leeuwenkoppen zorgt voor het water. De gietijzeren trap met dennenappel is het hoogtepunt, omgeven door drie kikkers.
