Deze vier zuilen in het parc des 7 heures behoorden oorspronkelijk tot het brongebouw uit begin de 19de eeuw.
In 1815 maakt Spa deel uit van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden. Willem van Oranje, die de stad zeer waardeert, wil er het belangrijkste kuuroord van Europa van maken. Hij liet een nieuw gebouw bouwen om de pouhon te huisvesten. Klassiek van stijl, het monument heeft 18 zuilen. Dit gebouw wordt in 1878 gesloopt. In het park van 7 Hours zie je nog 4 zuilen staan.
Op het fronton kon men lezen: "Ter nagedachtenis aan Pierre Le Grand". Sinds die tijd draagt onze pouhon de naam van Pierre Le Grand.
