Borsbeek schrijft al meer dan 760 jaar geschiedenis. Op 1 januari 2025 kwam er een nieuw hoofdstuk bij in het geschiedenisboek: Borsbeek werd toen het 10de district van Antwerpen. In dit statige gebouw regel je vandaag je paspoort of rijbewijs. Die functie had het niet altijd. Dit was ‘t Hof van Linden of Villa De Sprinkhaan, gebouwd in 1899. In 1973 kocht de gemeente ze op en vormde ze om tot gemeentehuis. De raadszaal? Die zat gewoon in het vroegere salon. Sinds 1 januari 2025 is dit het districtshuis, met een kunstwerk van Borsbekenaar Rik Van de Wauwe in de voortuin.
