De Basiliek van Koekelberg is de vijfde grootste kerk ter wereld, na de Basiliek van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van de Vrede in Yamoussoukro in Ivoorkust, de Sint-Pieterskerk in Rome, de Sint-Pauluskathedraal in Londen en de Santa Maria Dei Fiori in Florence.
