De waarzegster Matylda Průšová woonde voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog in nummer 14. Een zus van de schrijver Franz Kafka huurde in de zomer van 1916 het huis op nummer 22; Kafka gebruikte dit huis om ongeveer een jaar te schrijven. Jaroslav Seifert, die in 1984 de Nobelprijs voor Literatuur won en een van de ondertekenaars was van Charter 77, woonde er in 1929.
