Volgens de overlevering werd het Klementinum ooit bezocht door een geheimzinnige astronoom, die in de 18e eeuw op de astronomische toren symbolen in de vloer zou hebben gekrast die een onbegrijpelijke code vormden. De bibliotheek, die geldt als een van de mooiste barokke zalen van Europa, bewaart zeldzame manuscripten en eeuwenoude boeken waarvan sommigen beweren dat ze geheime kennis bevatten over astrologie, alchemie en de zoektocht naar het ‘ultieme licht’.
Niet te verwonderen dat schrijver Dan Brown dol is op deze locatie.
