Het voormalige Premonstratenserklooster Cappenberg uit de 12e eeuw in Selm in de Kreis Unna werd in 1816 door baron Karl vom und zum Stein gekocht en als rusthuis gebruikt, totdat hij daar in 1831 op 74-jarige leeftijd overleed.
