De Roßtrappe is een 403 m boven NHN hoge granieten rots boven het Bodetal in de Harz. Ze ligt tegenover de Hexentanzplatz op het grondgebied van de stad Thale in de Landkreis Harz in Saksen-Anhalt.
De Roßtrappe rijst hoog boven het Bodetal in de Harz. Ze is vanuit Thale, Treseburg of Wienrode bereikbaar via een verharde weg, te voet of vanuit Thale met een stoeltjeslift. Op de rots bevindt zich sinds het midden van de 19e eeuw het gelijknamige berghotel Rosstrappe met uitzichtterras. Nabij het hotel ligt het bergstation van de stoeltjeslift.
