Güsten is een gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Saksen-Anhalt, en maakt deel uit van het Landkreis Salzlandkreis. Güsten werd in het verleden ook wel aangeduid met Guddenstein, Gustein en Gusthen. Osmarsleben wordt tot Güsten gerekend.
Güsten telt 4.144 inwoners.
Het stadje ligt ten noordoosten van Ascherleben aan de B185 in het Wipperdal . Gürsten is een spoorknooppunt met verbindingen naar Maagdenburg, Köthen, Sandersleben en Ascherleben. De strategische spoorverbinding via Calbe naar Berlijn is niet meer in gebruik. Güsten dankt zijn ontstaan als spoorknooppunt aan de gunstige ligging ten noorden van de uitlopers van het Harzgebergte.
