Wist je dat het centrum van Europa na de Brexit hier in het dorpje Gadheim ligt. Dat berekenden de experten van IGN France.
Voor de Brexit was Oberwestern het middelpunt van de EU. Maar toen de UK er op 1 februari 2020 officieel uitstapte verschoof het middelpunt van de Europese Unie exact 55,4 km in Zuid Oostelijke richting.
Vóór de Brexit lag het op N50° 06.800' E9° 15.150' (Oberwestern). Na de uittreding van de UK is het verschoven naar N49° 50.583' E9° 54.117' (Gadheim).
