Apen is een gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Nedersaksen. Het is de meest westelijke gemeente van de Landkreis Ammerland. De naburige stad is Oldenburg, op ongeveer 32 km ten oosten van Apen. Apen telt 11.827 inwoners.
