Espelkamp is een stad en gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Noordrijn-Westfalen, gelegen in de Kreis Minden-Lübbecke. De gemeente telt 24.676 inwoners op een oppervlakte van 84,16 km².
Espelkamp ligt in het zuiden van de Noord-Duitse laagvlakte en wordt in het zuiden begrensd door het Mittellandkanaal.
Aan de westkant van de plaats loopt de Bundesstraße 239 noordwaarts naar Diepholz en zuidwaarts naar Lübbecke , Löhne en Herford.
De B239 kruist bij Espelkamp een oost-west lopende weg, die westwaarts naar Bohmte en Osnabrück leidt, en oostwaarts richting Petershagen met een aftakking naar Minden, dat 27 km van Espelkamp ligt.
