Friedeburg is een gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Nedersaksen. De gemeente maakt deel uit van het landkreis Wittmund.
Friedeburg telt 10.238 inwoners.
Friedeburg ligt in het veengebied van het uiterste oosten van Oost-Friesland. Het kenmerkt zich door een coulisselandschap, weilanden, omringd door houtwallen en vooral bij Reepsholt en ten zuidwesten van het dorp Friedeburg percelen bos.
