Het Grevenburg ligt een kilometer ten noordoosten van het dorp Sommersell in de stad Nieheim, in de Kreis Höxter in Noordrijn-Westfalen.
Het Grevenburg is een waterburcht; het landgoed rondom het gebouw beslaat 2,5 ha en is tegenwoordig een historisch landschappark. Het adelsgeslacht Oeynhausen verwierf het terrein en bouwde daar in 1536 een voorwerk. De burcht is vernoemd naar de beek Greve. De nakomelingen bouwden tussen 1566 en 1579 het kleine renaissance-herenhuis als familiewoning. Oorspronkelijk was het Grevenburg omgeven door een ongeveer 18 m brede gracht, die door een hoge en dikke ringwal werd ingesloten. Rond 1850 werd de gracht gedeeltelijk opgevuld en werden er vijvers aangelegd. Rond 1950 werd het park opnieuw verbouwd. Het park wordt gekenmerkt door oude bomen.
