Het natuurreservaat Mengeder Heide ligt in de Dortmunder wijk Mengede in Noordrijn-Westfalen, Duitsland. Het bevindt zich direct ten zuidoosten van het knooppunt tussen de snelwegen A 2 en A 45. In het zuiden wordt het begrensd door de Emscher en beslaat het 15,35 hectare. Het natuurreservaat "Mengeder Heide" werd op 19 juni 1986 aangewezen door een voorlopige vaststelling van de Provinciale regering Arnsberg. Op 30 november 1990 werd het opgenomen in het Landschapsplan Dortmund-Noord en op 2 september 2005 in de eerste wijziging van het Landschapsplan.
