De Lempe is een ongeveer 16,3 km lange, zuidoostelijke en orografisch rechter zijrivier van de Esse in de gemeente Kassel, Noord-Hessen.
De Lempe ontspringt in het zuidwestelijke deel van het Reinhardswald aan de noordflank van de Junkernkopf. Naast haar bron die zich in het gemeentevrije gebied van het Gutsbezirk Reinhardswald bevindt, ligt op 398 m hoogte een kruispunt van paden.
