De Ahse is een 50 km lange, linker en zuidelijke zijrivier van de Lippe in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Hij stroomt door de Soester Börde in de gemeenten Bad Sassendorf, Lippetal, Welver en de stad Hamm, waar hij in de Lippe uitmondt.
De naam "Ahse", oorspronkelijk overgeleverd als "Orsna" of "Arsene", staat in verband met een gereconstrueerd urgemeenschappelijke woord arsa, dat de betekenis "achterste" heeft. Of dit woord direct voor de rivier moet worden gebruikt of dat het een beeldende overdracht is, bijvoorbeeld als heuvel, blijft onduidelijk.
