De kerk Sankt Maria Goretti was de katholieke kerk in Meinersen, een gemeente in het westen van de Landkreis Gifhorn in Nedersaksen. De kerk, die laatstelijk bij de Gifhorner parochie St. Altfrid hoorde, was de meest westelijke kerk in het dekenaat Wolfsburg-Helmstedt en de eerste kerk in het dekenaat die geprofaneerd werd. In het bisdom Hildesheim was zij de laatste kerk die naar de heilige Maria Goretti genoemd was. Tegenwoordig zijn St. Bernward in Gifhorn en St. Matthias in Uetze, met elk ongeveer 13 kilometer afstand, de dichtstbijzijnde katholieke kerken.
In de 16e eeuw werd de bevolking in de regio Meinersen door de invoering van de Reformatie evangelisch-luthers.
